At the launch of her business, Teresa A. Lee contacted Orange Element to create a mark for her Washington, DC-based boutique event management firm. Inspired by the hospitality of royal courts, Rex & Regina (Latin for "king and queen") proved to be an eloquent name that demanded a mark of equal weight.

To generate the royal feel of the brand, a typeface based on the 1600s "The Fell Types" out of England was used as the primary type for the wordmark. The business cards, note cards, and envelopes were printed by letterpress to create a rich, luxurious feel for the brand components.
