The 2012 Orange Element Gift Wrap is Almost Here, and You Could Win It

One of the most successful internal projects of Orange Element’s (nearly) 10-year history was the wrapping paper series we produced in 2007. Featuring one sheet from each member of our team, the papers were designed to be both beautiful and functional. Our clients, prospects, and friends appreciated something different as an end-of-year gift, and they loved that they could actually put it to use.

In some ways 2007 seems like it was just a year or two ago, but it’s been five years since we sent that paper into the world. As we brainstormed how to approach our 2012 year-end project we kept coming back to one really great concept: let’s do it again.

So that’s what we did. In two weeks we’ll release the Orange Element Gift Wrap 2012 Edition. We’re excited to share it with the world. So excited, in fact, that we decided to have some fun and do a contest.

Starting later today and continuing with a post per day for the next seven days (not including Saturday/Sunday), we’ll be showing sneak previews of each sheet of this year’s wrapping paper along with short writeups about process and inspiration.

We'll post a wrap-up blog post on 11/01 with links to each preview along with a list of the OE team members. From the moment we hit "publish" on that post up until 5 PM on Wednesday, 11/07, the contest will be open. To enter, send an email to during that time with your best guesses matching each wrapping paper design with the Orange Element team member who created it.

The first person to get them all right -- or, failing that, the first person to get the most matches -- wins a complete set along with a grab bag of Orange Element goodies (bonus limited-edition one-color paper, stickers, the 2007 paper, a sketchbook, and possibly other good stuff).
