We’ve started design development for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs for two of our clients. We’re currently underway with vision mapping, briefs and timelines.
What we’re finding most enjoyable about this process includes the importance placed (and needed) in designing a program and implementation strategy. Creating benchmarks and empowerment initiatives, as part of a program, require as much attention to design implementation as do the tangibles that will support the program. We’re finding connections between how employees and companies benefit from developing and supporting a CSR; and, ultimately, how our earth will benefit from company and individual stewardships.
Look for more from us on this topic soon. In the meantime, here are a few
great examples of CSR’s supported by some really great companies and their employees:
Patagonia’s Footprint Chronicles (TM) allows users to experience their products through following a visual “chain of custody.” From design and fabric sourcing to sewing and distribution, a user can learn about Patagonia’s commitment to responsibility. And, users can dig deeper to watch videos and join the discussion by providing Patagonia w/ feedback and comments.
