Art Market at MICA

Hey everyone! This is Jasmine here, reminding you to mark your calendars for Art Market!

Next Wednesday through Saturday, students, faculty, and staff at the Maryland Institute College of Art will be selling handmade items including illustrations, paintings, prints, posters, sculptures, mosaics, stationery, T-shirts, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, book arts, toys, and wrapping paper. Attending is a great way to support artists in the community- 15 percent of sales will go toward a MICA scholarship, and the remaining profits go directly to the artists. Not to mention, you walk away with some really special pieces of work, and they make great holiday gifts too!

My “Design It Yourself” class will be participating with three tables filled with great books, buttons, and even a special collaborative, limited edition zine.  If you’re curious to see what’s happening with fresh, young designers you should definitely check it out. The Market will go on December 10 -13, 10 am – 6 pm in the Leidy Atrium and Falvey Hall Lobby in the Brown Center at 1301 West Mount Royal.
