New Client :: Parks & People Foundation

Today is a great day because I can officially announce that Orange Element was recently chosen by the Parks & People Foundation to help the non-profit develop and communicate a new brand identity. (Their current logo is pictured below)

The folks at the Parks & People Foundation have a great mission:

Parks & People Foundation is a non-profit organization that strives to improve the quality of life for all people in the Baltimore area through educational and recreational programs that motivate young people and through partnerships that create and sustain green spaces within our city.

Despite that mission, Parks & People has struggled due to lack of awareness and lack of support over the years.  In addition, they’ve dealt with a lot of confusion about what exactly it is that they do–many confuse them with Department of Recreation and Parks, a public entity with which they have a close partnership.  Still others have difficulty wrapping their heads around what exactly Parks & People is and how their seemingly disparate programs fit together.

We’re about to change all that.

We’re going to work with the Baltimore institution to refine and strengthen their positioning, develop a brand identity (including a new logo design) around that positioning and clearly and concisely communicate that brand identity through a communications strategy that we will develop for them. It’s a great challenge, but it’s going to be a ton of fun.

We’re particularly excited about this client because it is an organization that fits in perfectly with our desire to work for cause.  We find inspiration working with clients that are both socially and environmentally conscious.  Parks & People fits in both of these categories. This inspiration is going to translate into some amazing work.

We look forward to keeping you posted on our progress.
