Type Inspiration :: Hand Done Print

While looking for some type inspiration this morning i ran across a great calligraphy post from abduzeedo and figured i would share.

Another great artist I can never get enough of is Si Scott. At first i questioned his originality since his signature “swirled” technique is repeated throughout the majority of his work but as you stare at his marks and find yourself unable to look away, it’s a true testament to the originality and value of hand done art in design. Heres a video of him at work:

Deanna Cheuk is another great artist I ran across in a 2004 issue of Print Magazine but I cant seem to find any of her work that included hand done type anywhere. I’ll update this blog post if I am able to find anything from her!
