I just stumbled upon this site and even though it’s written in French, it’s worth the read.
http://www.joelapompe.net/. It’s an archive of “copycat” advertising. A wise man once said, “There are no new ideas. Only old ideas made better.” I happen to agree with that sentiment, personally. Here is one of my favorite copycat examples. It’s amazing to me how a similarity THIS striking happens on accident.
